    Johnson City, TN (formerly of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Irvine, California) – Mary Edith Crowe Collins, 73, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2017 at the Johnson City Medical Center. To be absent for the body, is to be present with the Lord. The family would like to thank Cornerstone South and Cornerstone Health for her care and assistance.

     

    She was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Lucille C. Crowe; brother-in-law, Budd Van Roekel; and grandchildren, Francis Henry Frakes, III and Julia Carrie Frakes.

     

    She is survived by her children, Suzette Scalf and husband Jim, Deborah Frakes and husband Lee, Michael Hall and wife Linda; Sisters, Maurice C. Van Roekel and Brenda S. Treadway and husband Don; Grandchildren, Leita Philipp and husband Nathan, Christopher Hall and wife Devin, Jason Hall, and Victoria Frakes; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

     

    She was a retired bookkeeper and enjoying playing with her grandchildren, baking and scrapbooking.

     

    The family will receive friends from 12 – 1 p.m., Friday, December 8, 2017, at Prairie Bayou Church of Christ, 19480 Hwy 84, New DeRoach. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jim Gourley officiating. Graveside Service will be held at 3 p.m. at Neighbors Cemetery in Midway. Honorary pall bearers will be Don Treadway, Kris Treadway, Jeff Buck, Zane Gray and Gerald Bunn, and Kevin Crowe.
